 يقدم الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات ومؤسسات المكتبات (الافلا) بالتعاون مع أوكلك OCLC، برنامج: 

“2016 Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program”

وفيما يلي التفاصيل: 

This program provides early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals from countries with developing economies. It is jointly sponsored by IFLA and the Online Computer Library Center, Inc (OCLC). To date, the program has welcomed 75 library and information science professionals from 38 countries.


Program overview:


Up to five individuals are selected each year for participation in this intensive four-week Fellowship program based at OCLC's headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA. The program gives Fellows opportunities to meet with leading information practitioners and explore topics including information technologies, library operations and management, and global cooperative librarianship.

The Fellows visit many libraries, cultural heritage institutions and library organizations. The Fellows also observe OCLC's governance structure in action, gaining insight into issues affecting the global library cooperative. Fellows give presentations about their home countries and libraries and discuss real-world solutions to the challenges facing libraries today.
The Fellows translate their learning and experiences into specific professional development plans that guide their continued growth as well as their personal contributions to their home institutions and country of origin.

Program guidelines:


The Fellowship Program is for library and information science professionals who are in early stages of career development and from countries with developing economies. Eligibility is limited to those who are from a qualifying country, have a degree in library or information science obtained within the past five years, and have at least three years, but no more than eight years, of library or information science experience. These and other qualifications are explained in detail in the Program Guidelines.

Interested candidates should read the guidelines (available in PDF and Word format) and, if qualified, complete and submit the application (available in PDF and Word format) by the specified due date.

The organizations that sponsor the Fellowship Program are seeking additional sponsorships from other interested organizations. More information about sponsorship is available from George Needham, Vice President, OCLC Global and Regional Councils.

يقدم الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات ومؤسسات المكتبات (افلا)، منحة لعشرين شخص لحضور مؤتمره القادم. وفيما يلي عرضاً مفصلاً لتفاصيل المنحة:

IFLA World Library and Information Congress Participation Grants


It is our great pleasure to announce that the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2015 has made available funds to provide support for 20 delegates to attend IFLA WLIC 2015 by waiving their registration fee.

Additional expenses need to be covered by other sponsorship or by candidates themselves. 

Priority is given to those applicants:


* Who are a first time attendee to the World Library and Information Congress.

* And who are a member of their National Library Association and whose application is supported by that Association in the form of a letter.

Applications should enclose:


* Curriculum vitae.

* Your motivation concerning the professional benefit of attending the conference (max. 200 words).

* Support letter from your national library association.

Applications should be submitted to: grants@iflamail.org.


Submission deadline: 1 March 2015

                              منحة د. شوقي سالم لحضور مؤتمر الإفلا السنوي (SSCG)

أهداف وأغراض المنحة:

منحة مؤتمر د. شوقي سالم هي منحة سنوية مقدمة من د. شوقي سالم والاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات ومؤسسات المكتبات (الإفلا) والهدف من المنحة هو أن يستطيع أحد الخبراء في علم المكتبات والمعلومات من الدول العربية أن يحضر مؤتمر الإفلا السنوي. يجب ألا يكون المرشحون قد سبق لهم حضور مؤتمر الإفلا، ويجب أن يكونوا حاملين للجنسية العربية، وألا يتعدوا سن 45 عاماً، وأن يتمتعوا بخبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في مهنة أو تدريس علم المكتبات والمعلومات، وأن يكون لديهم موافقة من قبل المنظمة التي يعملون بها.

ليس لدى الأشخاص / المنظمات التي سبق لها الحصول على منحة د. شوقي سالم الحق للتقدم مرة أخرى للمنحة وذلك لإعطاء الفرصة لأشخاص آخرين ومنظمات أخرى في الدول العربية للحصول على المنحة.

سيقدم الفائز بالمنحة تقريراً عن المؤتمر من 3 نسخ: نسخة إلى الإفلا، نسخة إلى المنظمة التي ينتمي إليها، ونسخة إلى د. سالم.

المساهمة المالية:

تصل المنحة كحد أقصى إلى 1900 دولار أمريكي وهي تكلفة السفر (بالطائرة على الدرجة الاقتصادية) من وإلى الدولة المضيفة للمؤتمر، التسجيل، تكاليف الإقامة بالفندق وبدل سفر يومي.

الإدارة:

ستدير الإفلا المنحة وسيكون لها سكرتير في لجنة التحكيم.

الاختيار:

آخر موعد لتلقي استمارات التقديم هو 13 فبراير من العام المعني.

سيتم اختيار الفائز قبل 1 أبريل من العام المعني بواسطة لجنة تحكيم يعين أعضاءها د. شوقي سالم والإفلا. 

سيتم اختيار الفائز بواسطة سكرتارية لجنة التحكيم في أبريل من كل عام.
