نقلاً عن الزميلة الفاضلة الأستاذة/ هبة إسماعيل، المدير الفني بجمعية الرعاية المتكاملة، يقدم الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات ومؤسسات المكتبات (الافلا) بالتعاون مع أوكلكOCLC  ، “2015 Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program” ، وفيما يلي التفاصيل:

The application deadline for the 2015 Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program is 14 February 2014. 

This program–jointly sponsored by IFLA and OCLC–provides early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals from countries with developing economies.

Program overview

On an annual basis, up to five individuals are selected for participation in this intensive four-week Fellowship program based at OCLC's headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA. The program gives Fellows opportunities to meet with leading information practitioners, visit libraries, and explore topics including information technologies, library operations and management, and global cooperative librarianship.

The Fellows visit many libraries, cultural heritage institutions and library organizations. The Fellows also observe OCLC's governance structure in action, gaining insight into issues affecting the global library cooperative. Fellows give presentations about their home countries and libraries, meet leading information professionals and discuss real-world solutions to the challenges facing libraries today.

The Fellows translate their learning and experiences into specific professional development plans that guide their continued growth as well as their personal contributions to their home institutions and country of origin

Program guidelines & Application

The Fellowship Program is for library and information science professionals who are in early stages of career development and from countries with developing economies. Eligibility is limited to those who are from a qualifying country, have a degree in library or information science obtained within the past five years, and have at least three years, but no more than eight years, of library or information science experience. These and other qualifications are explained in detail in the Program Guidelines. نقلاً عن الزميلة الفاضلة الأستاذة/ هبة إسماعيل، المدير الفني بجمعية الرعاية المتكاملة، تقدم نسيج (شركة النظم العربية المتطورة) بالاشتراك مع مركز الافلا للمكتبات الناطقة باللغة العربية IFLA-CASL  منحة نسيج للمؤتمر السنوي، لأخصائي المكتبات العرب لحضور مؤتمر إفلا القادم IFLA WLIC 2014 الذي سوف يعقد بإذن الله تعالى في مدينة ليون بفرنسا، في الفترة من 16 - 22 أغسطس 2014، وفيما يلي التفاصيل:

Naseej (Arabian Advanced Systems Co.) and IFLA-CASL have the pleasure to announce Naseej's annual conference grant for Arab Librarians and Information Specialists to attend this year's World Library and Information Congress in Lyon, France.

Paper presenters and those who have an active role in the conference are given priority!

The grant covers travel, accommodation and registration expenses for one person-up to 2000 USD.

The Deadline for submitting your application is 28 February 2014 and the selected candidate will be announced 30 March 2014.

The IFLA Education & Training Section in collaboration with ekz.bibliotheksservice GmbH has the pleasure to announce the 6th IFLA/ekz LIS Student Paper Award for 2014.

The IFLA/ekz LIS Student Paper Award will honour students of Library and Information Science whose abstract submissions have been accepted by any IFLA Section or IFLA Unit to be presented at the upcoming 80th IFLA Congress, 16–22 August, 2014 in Lyon, France http://conference.ifla.org/ifla80.

Three finalists will be recognized for their outstanding achievements. From these three finalists, the winner will be chosen and receive the IFLA Congress registration fee plus grant for economy airfare and economical lodging to attend the IFLA Congress 2014, in total up to 1000 €. The winner will also receive a 1 year free IFLA membership, plus the recommendation for publication of the paper in the IFLA Journal. Second and third place finalists will receive a certificate plus 1 year free IFLA Education & Training Section membership.

كتاب الفهرسة الوصفية للمواد النادرة (الرسومات)!

السادة زوار المدونة الكرام، يسعدني أن أقدم لحضراتكم كتاب الفهرسة الوصفية للمواد النادرة (الرسومات) DCRM(G): Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials (Graphics)، وهو عبارة عن مبادئ توجيهية وتعليمات للفهرسة الوصفية للرسومات، والتى تضم الصور الثابتة من جميع الأنواع من المطبوعات، والرسومات، والصور، والملصقات، والبطاقات البريدية، والإعلانات المصورة، والرسوم المتحركة، والشرائط المصورة الكوميدية، واللوحات، والمناظر الطبيعية، والرسوم التوضيحية بالكتب، والصور الرقمية الحديثة، إلخ وكذلك الخرائط. وهو نسخة محدثة من المبادئ التوجيهية للفهرسة الوصفية للصور، قام بتحديثها مكتبة الكونجرس Library of Congress ، ولجنة المعايير الببليوجرافية بقسم الكتب النادرة والمخطوطات بجمعية مكتبات الكليات والبحوث Bibliographic Standards Committee of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries التابعة لجمعية المكتبات الأمريكية American Library Association (ALA). وهو متاح مجاناً من خلال موقع قسم الكتب النادرة والمخطوطات بجمعية مكتبات الكليات والبحوث الرابط التالي:
